It's that time again!
The cover for War Mistress is out! Feast your eyes on it below:
I'm so pleased with it! Once again, GetCovers.com has knocked it out of the park. This one was tricky to put together, as there aren't really any stock images of BIPOC women in fantasy dress (which is super frustrating and reveals a huge problem in the High Fantasy genre in general). But by carefully cutting together multiple images, we were able to create the female main character Pellia and her tattooed orc love interest Verrick.
For anyone looking to get a cover for their indie project at a fraction of the price you would normally pay, I definitely recommend the artists at GetCovers.com. They really listen to what you want, make adjustments when they need to, and create serviceable, attractive covers using stock images, meaning they don't use problematic AI images and you are actually supporting real, live artists. Besides all that, you get a really tight turn around with them, so you don't have to wait forever to see the finished product.
Anyway, mark it on your calendars, War Mistress is coming out March 1, 2024. Hope to see you for the launch!
